Hey Internet world. It's June. It's really hot. And the Middle East is just going to be even hotter. It's getting closer, I'll be gone soon and then... I don't know. I will try to post but seeing as how our mission is to close everything down, I just don't know how much Internet access I'll really have.
In other news, my husband and I are considering purchasing a house. We are torn between buying before we deploy (probably not although it would be nice to have a home to come home to), building while we are away (also probably not because we want to see it being built and be sure no one is cutting corners), or purchasing a lot now and building when we get back. We really like this neighborhood/development, and we really feel that the city is going to grow up around it, raising the property value/potential rentability after we move elsewhere. We are looking to live in it for two years and then move elsewhere with the Army and rent it out long term, we are aiming to get a house nice enough that it will attract company grade officers, who are historically really good renters.
I don't have any pictures for you today. Sorry.
Oh! I am knitting some green socks, that are going to be awesome. I haven't knitted socks in forever. I'll show you soon. Oh, that reminds me, of the two houses we are interested in, one has an awesome bonus room where I could spin/knit, and the other has a swanky ensuite master bedroom with a sitting room and everything. Plus it has like a "guest room lobby" or antechamber or something that is a quasi-room before you get to the guest rooms, it makes it seem almost like a separate part of the house.
We're getting the house fever! Too bad I have to go live in a CHU for a while.
